Tried & loved: Vanilla bean madeleines

Easter will be here before you know it. And I have found the perfect recipe for serving up something sweet.

Not Easter candy sweet mind you. Subtle sweet. With browned butter. Oh yum.

The recipe is from the Kitchn and is a remake of the Julia Child recipe. Get the recipe >> HERE.

The recipe is actually for lemon madeleines. I decided to make just vanilla bean. I actually added a 1/4 tsp of orange blossom water. The taste didn’t really come through. Next time I’ll just make vanilla bean madeleines and will make an orange blossom glaze (powdered sugar, a bit of milk and orange blossom water).

These were the perfect treat, served with herbal tea, for a mommy and baby meetup in the afternoon. These little treats (actually little cakes, not cookies) are not too filling so it’s ok to enjoy one even right after lunch.
